Understanding QC Photos
QC (Quality Control) photos are your only chance to inspect your actual item before it ships from the warehouse. These photos show the real product you will receive, not stock images or marketing photos.
Most QC photo sets include 3-5 images showing different angles, details, and sometimes packaging. Request additional photos if you need to see specific areas.
QC Checklist by Category
Different product types require different inspection points. Use this checklist based on what you are ordering:
| Product Type | Check These | Red Flags | Green Lights |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shoes | Shape, stitching, sole | Glue stains, off-color | Clean lines, accurate logo |
| Clothing | Tags, fabric, print | Misaligned print, thin fabric | Thick material, clean tags |
| Bags | Hardware, zippers, logo | Cheap hardware, loose threads | Heavy zippers, crisp logo |
| Accessories | Details, weight, finish | Lightweight, poor paint | Quality heft, clean finish |
When to GL vs RL
GL (Green Light) means approve the item for shipping. RL (Red Light) means request an exchange or return. Small flaws that are not visible when worn typically warrant a GL. Major shape issues, incorrect colors, or obviously wrong logos should be RL.
Remember that minor imperfections are normal even on retail products. Do not expect perfection on every stitch. Focus on the overall accuracy and any flaws that are visible during normal use.
